At first it was only a ruin in Alcarias.

A romantic little village of a special and rare beauty. When we enter Alcarias, we see a flower garden, a flock of chickens fleeing our movement, cats sitting by the road, cats perched on the walls, watching us. You hear the rattles of sheep and goats in the distance, the bell of the Church, the singing of birds and the wind. There’s always someone, who greets us with warmth and joy, makes us feel welcome and special.

Alcarias is a place where you can breath easily, unique lighting and scenic afternoons, with the sun drawing a large yellow circle on the horizon and fading in red hues and shades. And that makes us want to stay longer, to continue conversations in the streets. It makes us want to lift what we see fallen and bring more talk to the streets. From this will was born this path Casa no Montinho.

Alcarias is still a secret as it has been forgotten about.

Surrounded by wide fields, which preserves the original alleys with humble mud houses and a few impressive manor houses. The stone walls surround the curves of the gardens, in the middle of the square is a well of pure water, a bread oven, a windmill, chimneys and their pinwheels.

Casa no Montinho

Casa no Montinho’s can comfortably accommodate 10 people in the three suites, all with mezzanine, bathroom and living area, totally private, air conditioning, TV, internet, mini bar fridge, kettle and coffee machine.

The common areas are located in the main house, where there are a dining room and a living area, a kitchen which can also be used (upon prior request); and in the approximately 350 square meters outdoor space you will find several living areas, lawn and a solarium by the pool. You have the possibility to cook and serve meals in this outdoor space.
